Jordan Reyne is a favorite of the show and we've played her tracks many times over the years. Jordan's new album, The Annihilation Sequence, was recently released. Jordan is releasing "chill out mixes" of some of the tracks from the album. http://jordanreyne.bandcamp.com/
Jordan's web site is: http://www.jordanreyne.com/ . Links from there to all the social media sites you could wish for.
We've re-registered http://dumbeddownlife.com/ to make it easier to find our podcast. We'll be posting updates there as well as on Facebook, Twitter and on other social networks. The web page (blog) is the best source for updates as other social sites are more likely to be links back to here. However you found us, why ever you listen, thank you.
Of course we were bound to have technical issues after such a long break. What's a podcast without technical issues! It appears that the link for DDL121 pointed to a secure (https) host which some podcast software doesn't like. I've changed this now so you should be able to download if you couldn't before. On another technicality, when we submitted Dumbed Down Life to iTunes we used a Google Reader feed to ensure that if we ever changed host for our files we'd only have to change the Google feed, after all, Google would never stop the Google Reader service right? We've not looked into this yet but unless Apple have added the ability to modify podcast feeds it looks like we'll have to set up yet another Dumbed Down Life podcast feed in iTunes. Through all the above technical problems you can still listen to the recordings directly from the web site. I would say that service will soon return to normal but then this is normal!
Recordings 120 and 121 of Dumbed Down Life were both interrupted by phones. What are your feelings on how mobile technology impacts daily life. Are you a slave to your phone?
